Update on Karnataka Minimum Wages for the financial year 2026-2027

The Directorate of Economics and Statistics, Government of Karnataka, has released the State Annual Average Consumer Price Index figure for Industrial Workers for the calendar year 2025. This figure reflects an increase of 363 points over the Consumer Price Index figure of 2024, which stood at 9965 points. Consequently, employers in Scheduled Employment are mandated to provide an additional Cost of Living Allowance (DA) of Rs 435.60/- effective from 1st April 2026 to 31st March 2027, in addition to the previously stipulated DA as outlined in various Minimum Wages Notifications.

In light of the aforementioned CPI points, please refer below to the details of the minimum wages applicable for Shops and Commercial Establishments for the period from 1st April 2026 to 31st March 2027:
