Kerala Factories (Amendment) Rules, 2024

The Government of Kerala, vide notification no. G.O.(P)No.65/2024/LBR, dated 11thSeptember 2024, has amended sub rule (3) of Rule 8 of the Kerala Factories Rules, 1957.

Through the amendment, the fee for transferring licenses has been exempted for factories that are closed and taken over by other factories due to financial crisis, insufficiency of raw materials, non-profitability due to unsold products, shortage of labourers, industrial dispute, or environmental issues – duly certified by the competent authority.
