ESIC directs all employers to issue e-Pehchaan cards to all IPs

The Employees’ State Insurance Corporation, vide circular no. I-11012/8/2021-ICT, dated 5^th February, 2024, has directed all its regional offices to issue suitable directions to all the employers under their jurisdiction to download e-Pehchaan cards from the ESI portal and hand them over to their respective employees/ Insured Persons immediately after registration under the ESI scheme. Also, the e-Pehchaan card must be given to the existing IPs by the employers.

Employers are requested to note the same and download the e-Pehchaan card from the ESI portal and issue the same to their employees who are covered under the Employees’ State Insurance Act, 1948, if it is not yet done.
