Job Summary

The Business Resilience Analyst is responsible for supporting the enterprise resilience team in developing, implementing, and maintaining the business resilience framework, policies, and standards across the organization. The Business Resilience Analyst will conduct business impact analysis, risk assessments, and resilience testing to identify and mitigate potential disruptions to the organization’s critical functions and processes. The Business Resilience Analyst will also provide training, awareness, and guidance to business units and stakeholders on business resilience best practices and requirements.

Responsibilities

Assist in developing and updating the business resilience strategy, framework, policies, and standards in alignment with the organization’s vision, mission, and objectives.

Conduct business impact analysis and risk assessments to identify and prioritize the organization’s critical functions and processes, and their interdependencies, dependencies, and recovery requirements.

Liaise and collaborate with internal and external partners, such as IT, HR, Security, Facilities, Legal, Compliance, and regulators, to ensure the integration and alignment of the business resilience activities and requirements across the organization.

Maintain business continuity plans and disaster recovery plans for the organization’s critical functions and processes and ensure their alignment with the business resilience framework and standards.

Coordinate and facilitate business resilience testing and exercises to validate the effectiveness and readiness of the business continuity plans, crisis management plans, and disaster recovery plans, and identify areas for improvement and remediation.

Monitor and report on the status and performance of the business resilience program and provide recommendations for enhancement and optimization.

Provide training, awareness, and guidance to business units and stakeholders on business resilience best practices and requirements and foster a culture of resilience across the organization.

Support the enterprise resilience team in managing and responding to business disruptions, incidents, and crises, and ensure timely and effective communication and escalation.

Research and benchmark best practices and emerging trends in business resilience and evaluate their applicability and feasibility for the organization.

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, risk management, or related field, or equivalent work experience.

Minimum 3 years of experience in business resilience, business continuity, crisis management, or disaster recovery, preferably in a large and complex organization.

Certification in business resilience, business continuity, crisis management, or disaster recovery, such as CBCP, MBCI, CCM, or CDRP, is an asset.

Strong knowledge and understanding of business resilience principles, methodologies, and standards, such as ISO 22301, ISO 31000, and ISO 27001.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, and ability to conduct business impact analysis, risk assessments, and resilience testing.

Proficient in developing and maintaining business continuity plans, crisis management plans, and disaster recovery plans, and using business resilience tools and software.

Effective communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, and ability to communicate and collaborate with various levels of the organization and external stakeholders.

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated, and ability to manage multiple tasks and projects under pressure and tight deadlines.

Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and improvement, and adaptability to changing business needs and priorities.
