Telangana Update on Election Holiday

Earlier, the Government of Telangana, vide notification no. G.O.Rt.No.222, dated 22nd March 2024, had declared a paid holiday on 13th May 2024, to all eligible employees working in factories, shops & establishments, industrial undertakings, or any other establishment to enable them to exercise their franchise in the General Election to Lok Sabha, 2024 and Bye-election to 71- Secunderabad Cantt Assembly Constituency.
Now, the Government of Telangana, vide memo no. 136/LAB1/A1/2024, dated 2ndMay 2024, has clarified that such a holiday is applicable only for the shift during which the poll is to be conducted (7 AM to 6 PM).
