SOP for implementing the POSH Act at workplace

The Government of Tamil Nadu, vide circular no. G.O.(Ms) No. 64, dated 18th June 2025, has published a Standard Operating Procedure for effective implementation of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013. The SOP is framed by the Commissioner of Social Welfare, Tamil Nadu.

It covers various aspects, including actions to be taken for the prevention of sexual harassment, grievance redressal – including formation of Internal Committee, receipt of the complaint, inquiry, details of reliefs, statutory filings etc.
