Revision of minimum wages – Uttar Pradesh – 170426

The Government of Uttar Pradesh, vide notification no. 374/36-2-2026-2041256, dated 17th April 2026, has announced a revised minimum wage structure in the state, thereby superseding its previous notification dated 25th March 2026.

The Labour Department has categorised the state into three distinct groups for the purpose of determining minimum wage rates. In this categorisation, the districts of Gautam Buddha Nagar and Ghaziabad are classified under Category-I, all districts with Nagar Nigam (excluding Gautam Buddha Nagar and Ghaziabad) are classified under Category-II, and all other districts are classified under Category-III. The specifics of the Minimum Wages are outlined as follows and will take effect from 1st April 2026.
