Revision in Labour Welfare Fund Contributions

The Government of Madhya Pradesh, vide notification dated 28th January 2026, has made amendments to the Madhya Pradesh Labour Welfare Fund Act, 1982, resulting in a revision of the LWF contribution rates payable by employers every six months, increasing from Rs 30/- to Rs 50/-.
Consequently, the new contribution rates, effective from the calendar year 2026, are as follows:
• Employer’s share of contribution: Rs 50/-
• Employee’s share of contribution: Rs 10/- (unchanged)
• Total: Rs 60/-
It is important to note that the employer’s half-yearly contributions must not be less than Rs 2500, which was previously set at Rs 1500.
