The Government of Puducherry, vide notification no. G.O.Ms.No.10, dated 14th August 2025, superseding the earlier notification (no. G.O.Ms.No.16/AIL/LAB/G/2022, dated 27th October 2022), has permitted all shops and establishments in the state that employ 50 or more persons to operate 24/7, and to employ women during the night shift, subject to certain conditions specified in the notification.
