The Government of Maharashtra, vide notification no. FAC-2024/C.R.67/Labour-4, dated 13th May 2025, has amended the Maharashtra Factories Rules, 1963, and thereby inserted Rule 73-ZC after Rule 73-ZB of the Maharashtra Factories Rules, 1963.
The new rule (73-ZC) outlines the safety precautions to be followed with respect to the reactors used for exothermic chemical reactions in a factory.
