Exemption from the restriction on employing female workers during night shift

According to clause (ix) of Rule 25 of the Haryana Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Rules, 1975, ‘no female contract labour shall be employed by any contractor before 6 AM or after 7 PM’.
The Haryana Government, vide notification no. 11/69/2025-4Lab, dated 8th October 2025, has exempted Factories, Shops and Commercial Establishments from these restrictions, provided they have secured permission to employ female workers during the night shift in line with the notification dated 4th July 2025. This permission shall be limited to the duration specified in the exemption granted to the respective Factory or Shop and Commercial Establishment.
An alert regarding the notification (dated 4th July 2025) concerning permission to employ female workers during the night shift in Factories, Shops and Commercial Establishments was circulated by AscentHR on 8th July 2025 and 11th July 2025, respectively.
