Exemption from filing PT return (Form III) in paper form

The Directorate of Commercial Taxes, Government of West Bengal, has passed the order no. I/637636/2025, dated 7th May 2025, that exempts employers from submitting the paper form of annual return in Form III to the prescribed authority.
Where the data in Form III is transmitted without digital signature or e-signature, the return in Form III in paper form, downloaded from the website, printed and duly signed by such registered employer or his authorised signatory and scanned, shall be uploaded in the Professional Tax website in lieu of the paper form.
Employers can download the return page, sign it and upload it on the link beside the download link of acknowledgement and return.
