EPFO allows employers to view only the present employment details of the members

The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), vide circular no. WSU/MemberProfile/E-710137/2024-25/12, dated 27th March 2025, has clarified to employers regarding the viewing of provident fund details of their employees in respect of their past employment.

The EPFO, after review, to protect the provident fund members from any potential misuse of their past employment details, has decided that only the present employment details of the members will be allowed to be viewed by the current employers in the portal.

However, to ensure the contribution towards Employees’ Pension Scheme, 1995 (EPS) in respect of eligible members who declared their past EPS membership in Form 11, the status of such EPS membership will be allowed to be viewed by the present employer at the time of the employee’s onboarding.
