Please be informed that the Central Government of India had enhanced the minimum and maximum benefits under the EDLI scheme from 1.5 lakhs and 6 lakhs to 2.5 lakhs and 7 lakhs, respectively, in 2021. The benefits were valid for three years, ending on April 27, 2024.
However, the Centre has now decided to continue the enhanced benefits of the EDLI Scheme to all EPF subscribers and their family members until further notice, with retrospective effect from 28th April 2024. Accordingly, the Employees’ Deposit-Linked Insurance Scheme, 1976, has been amended with effect from 28th April 2024.
