Election Holiday in Erode

Bye-Election to Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly from 98, Erode (East) Assembly Constituency, Erode District, is scheduled to be held on 5th February 2025 (Wednesday).
On account of the same, the Government of Tamil Nadu, vide notification no. G.O.(Ms).No.77, dated 20th January 2025, has declared a public holiday on the polling day, i.e. 5th February 2025, under the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881, in the areas comprised in the above said Assembly Constituency.
Further, all employees working in Erode and neighbouring districts who are registered as voters in the above-said Assembly Constituency shall also be given a paid holiday on 5th February 2025, to enable them to cast their vote.
