Addition to the list of acceptable documents for making modifications to the member profile in the EPFO record

Earlier, Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation, vide circular no. WSU/2022/Rationalisation of work areas/Joint Declaration (E-54018)/3638, dated 23^rd August, 2023, had introduced a standard operating procedure for making modifications/additions to the member profile via joint declaration. The SOP contained a list of acceptable documents which could be submitted as supporting documents, along with the joint declaration for modifications/additions to the member profile. AscentHR had circulated an alert regarding the same, on 11^th September, 2023.

Now, the EPFO, vide circular dated 11^th March 2024, has added some more documents to the list of supporting documents for the correction of the father’s/mother’s name, and relationship. The list of documents added is as follows:

• Aadhaar card of the member bearing the father’s/mother’s name
• PAN card
• 10^th or 12^th school certificate/mark sheet bearing father’s/mother’s name
• Driving license
