Equal Opportunity Policy for Factories and Boilers

The Government of Tripura, the Labour Department, vide notification no. F.2(199)-FB/ESTT/99/, dated 3^rd March 2025, has notified an equal opportunity policy with respect to persons with disabilities working in Factories and Boilers in Tripura. The notification is in accordance with the Right of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016.

The policy outlines certain facilities, amenities, and special leaves to be provided to persons with disabilities and the manner of selection, promotion, and transfer with respect to them.

It also prescribes the appointment of a Grievance Redressal Officer (GRO) and a liaison officer for grievance redressal, to look after recruitment, facilities, and amenities provided to people with disabilities.
