AscentHR acquires OS HRS to strengthen APAC payroll leadership

AscentHR, a leading provider of HR, payroll, compliance, and workforce solutions, has announced the strategic acquisition of OS HRS, an APAC-focused payroll outsourcing provider with over two decades of experience in delivering multi-country payroll services.

The acquisition was completed through a single-stage transaction under which AscentHR acquired 100 per cent of the equity share capital of OS HRS Malaysia, OS HRS Japan, and OS HRS India from BREXA Inc (formerly Outsourcing Inc). The transaction was completed in June 2026. But the financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed, according to a statement.

This marks a significant step in AscentHR’s growth strategy across the India–Asia Pacific region, expanding its payroll delivery capabilities, compliance expertise, and regional presence across key markets, including China, Japan, India, Malaysia, Korea, Singapore, and several other countries across APAC and the Middle East.

The acquisition brings together AscentHR’s technology, managed services, and HR solutions with OS HRS’ deep regional payroll expertise, established customer relationships, and in-country delivery capabilities. The integration will be undertaken in a phased manner to ensure continuity for customers, employees, and partners, as per the statement.

Subramanyam S, Founder & CEO, AscentHR, said, “This acquisition is an important milestone in AscentHR’s journey to build a leading regional payroll and workforce solutions platform across Asia-Pacific. OS HRS has established a strong reputation for delivering high-quality payroll services, deep compliance expertise, and exceptional customer support across the region.”

“Beyond expanding our geographic reach and delivery capabilities, this acquisition will significantly accelerate our growth trajectory. Together, we are creating a stronger organisation with deeper local expertise, enhanced service capabilities, and a broader regional footprint that will enable us to support multinational organisations more effectively across APAC,” added Subramanyam.

The statement further adds that the acquisition is expected to nearly double AscentHR’s revenue.
