Draft on the Maharashtra Employees’ Compensation Rules, 2026

The Government of Maharashtra, vide notification no. Miscellaneous-1026/C.R.03/LABOUR-7a, dated 16th June 2026, has released a draft of the Maharashtra Employees’ Compensation Rules, 2026. This draft has been issued in accordance with the provisions outlined in the Code on Social Security, 2020.

The Government of Maharashtra will review the aforementioned draft after a period of thirty days from its publication date. Any objections or suggestions should be directed to the Commissioner of Labour, Maharashtra State, located at Kamgar Bhawan, C 20, E Block, Bandra Kurla Complex, Bandra (East), Mumbai 400 051, or can be emailed to mh.labourcodes.rules@gmail.com

Objections and suggestions must be submitted using a pro-forma that includes the following columns:
• Column (i): indicating the name and address of the individual or organization.

• Column (ii): identifying the specific rule or sub-rule that is proposed for modification.

• Column (iii): detailing the revised rule or sub-rule that is suggested for substitution, along with the reasons for the change.

The State Government will take into account any objections and suggestions received from individuals or organizations regarding the draft before the conclusion of the specified period.
