Draft of the Maharashtra Code on Wages Rules, 2026

The Government of Maharashtra, vide notification no. COW-0126/C.R.09/Lab7, dated 28th April 2026, has published the draft of the Maharashtra Code on Wages Rules, 2026.

The said draft will be taken into consideration after a period of forty-five days from the date of its publication. Objections and suggestions, if any, may be sent to the Commissioner of Labour, Maharashtra State, Kamgar Bhawan, C 20, E Block, Bandra Kurla Complex, Bandra (East), Mumbai 400051 or email mh.labourcodes.rules@gmail.com. The objections and suggestions should be sent in a proforma containing the following columns:

• Column (i), specifying the name and address of the person or organisation.

• Column (ii), specifying the rule or sub-rule which is proposed to be modified.

• Column (iii), specifying the revised rule or sub-rule proposed to be substituted and reasons thereof.

The objections and suggestions, which may be received from any person or organisation with respect to the said draft before the expiry of the above-mentioned period, will be considered by the State Government.
