Draft on Code on Social Security (Central) Rules, 2025

Consequent to the enforcement of the Code on Social Security, 2020, which takes effect from 21st November 2025, the Central Government, vide notification no. G.S.R. 935(E), dated 30th December 2025, has published the draft on the Code on Social Security (Central) Rules, 2025.
The said draft will be taken into consideration after a period of forty-five days from the date of its publication. Objections and suggestions, if any, may be addressed to Shri Supriya Ranjan Datta, Deputy Secretary, Ministry of Labour and Employment, Room No.318, Shram Shakti Bhawan, Rafi Marg, New Delhi-110001, or e-mailed to sr.datta@nic.in and tezveer.singh@nic.in.
The objections and suggestions should be submitted in a proforma containing the following columns:
• Column (1): specifying the name and address of the person/organization.
• Column (2): specifying the chapter and rule or sub-rule which is proposed to be modified.
• Column (3): specifying the revised rule or sub-rule proposed to be substituted.
• Column (4): reasons for modification.
Objections and suggestions, which may be received from any person with respect to the said draft rules before expiry of the period specified above, may be considered by the Central Government.
