Conditions for employing women during the night shift – Haryana

The Government of Haryana, vide notification no. 11/26/2025-4Lab, dated 4th July 2025, in supersession of all the earlier notifications, has notified certain conditions for granting exemption from the restriction of employing women during the night shift (8 PM to 6 AM) in IT/ITES, banking establishments, three-star or above hotels, hundred percent export-oriented establishments, logistics and warehousing establishments.

Earlier, on 8th May 2025, the Government had published a notification on the same subject. Now, the Government has published this revised notification, revising the mode of submitting applications for obtaining permission to employ women during the night shift.

As per the new notification, the application for the grant of exemption has to be submitted online within 2 weeks prior to the commencement of the period in respect of which the exemption is prayed for. The exemption will be approved in auto mode on the basis of self-certification.
