EPFO extends the timeline for uploading wage and other details of applicants for pension on higher wages

The Ministry of Labour & Employment, vide press note dated 18^th December 2024, has communicated its decision to extend the timeline given to the employers to upload the wage and other details of their employees who have applied for pension on higher wages. As per the new deadline, employers can file wage details of the applicants till 31^st January 2025. An online facility was made available by the EPFO for submitting applications for validation of options/joint options for pensions on higher wages. This facility is for eligible pensioners/members in compliance with the Hon’ble Supreme Court order dated 4^th November 2022.

Employers have also been asked to submit responses or clarifications and update information where the EPFO has sought more details, additional information, or clarification by 15^th January 2025.

This extension provides employers with the final opportunity to ensure all pending applications for pension validation are processed and uploaded.
