ESIC user manual for bulk Aadhaar seeding through the employer portal

The Employees’ State Insurance Corporation, vide circular no. N-16016/1/2023-Bft-II, dated 11th December 2024, has published a user manual for uploading multiple Excel sheets for bulk Aadhaar seeding of the IPs and their family members in the ESIC employer portal.
Earlier, the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation had issued multiple circulars on seeding the Aadhaar of IPs and their family members through the IP portal and employer portal, utilising various modes such as OTP, Biometric, and Face Authentication. Through this latest circular, the ESIC has detailed the implementation of a system for bulk Aadhaar seeding for employers, enabling them to upload a file containing employee demographic details and Aadhaar numbers. The system will utilise the Yes/No authentication facility of UIDAI for verification and establish consent via SMS post-transaction with an opt-out option.
Lack of identification and authentication data poses operational challenges. To address this issue, the Aadhaar Seeding initiative was introduced to streamline the process of linking Aadhaar numbers with ESIC for seamless authentication and verification.
