Wage Ceiling revised to INR 25,000 under the Code on Social Security, 2020

The Ministry of Labour and Employment has notified an increase in the wage ceiling to INR 25,000 per month for the purposes of Chapter III (Employees’ Provident Fund) of the Code on Social Security, 2020.
This notification supersedes the earlier notification dated 29th May 2026, and shall come into force with effect from 17th September 2026, being the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
